THE CREAMERY ARTS CENTER

The Creamery Arts Center, a City-owned building located in Jordan Valley Park, opened in 2002 as a headquarters for community arts groups. More than 30 organizations now use the building and about 30,000 people use The Creamery annually. The 35,000-square-foot building includes offices for the:
  • Springfield Regional Arts Council
  • Springfield Ballet
  • Ozarks Lyric Opera Theatre
  • Springfield Symphony Orchestra
  • Springfield Community Center
  • Men's Chorus of the Ozarks
  • Any Given Child
  • Film & Media Association of Springfield
  • First Friday Art Walk
  • Plotline
  • Sculpture Walk of Springfield
There is also a shared costume shop and set design/fabrication studio managed by Springfield Little Theatre, an exhibition hall, board room, arts library, arts classroom, and a film editing bay.

The Springfield Regional Arts Council maintains a growing list of qualified, vetted Teaching Artists in a variety of media. These artists can come to your classroom, or consider booking a field trip or space at The Creamery Arts Center where we can host your class and an art activity.

FIELD TRIPS AT THE CREAMERY

The Springfield Regional Arts Council hosts thousands of students annually at The Creamery Arts Center to explore the visual, performing, and literary arts. Our experienced staff will work closely with you to build a custom field trip to match your curriculum studies.
