Springfield Symphony's Coffee and Classics
Borders Books @ 05:30 PM
Posted by: SRAC
Hosted by Music Director Ron Spigelman, the program takes place on the Thursday before each concert in the relaxed and informal surroundings of the store’s café. The evening begins at 5:30pm with a meet and greet - greatly enhanced by free coffee generously provided by Borders - followed by a preview of the upcoming concert; including fun facts about the featured composers and their works, musical anecdotes and excerpts, and on many occasions, a live performance. The program is generally about 45 minutes in length, including time for question and answer, and whenever possible, Spigelman is joined by either the guest artist, or a member of the orchestra.
This popular series is free and open to all! Anyone attending is eligible for a generous in-store discount on Borders merchandise the evening of the event – please see store staff for details. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to get up close and personal with the Springfield Symphony, not to mention world-class artists and music super-stars. We hope to see you there!
