With more than 350 artist members in its organization, the Springfield Regional Arts Council will proudly host its 10th Annual Member Show at The Creamery Arts Center throughout the month of June, sponsored by Positronic Industries. This exhibit asks local and regional artists who are members of the Arts Council to submit one piece of work that is representative of their technique and style.
“This is an exciting opportunity for established members to show what they have been working on, and for new members to make a first impression,” says Rachel Johnson, Director of Programs and Exhibits at the SRAC. “I can’t wait to see what our local and regional artists have been working on this past year.”
The SRAC Visual Arts Committee will select up to 10 artists from the Member Show for the exclusive exhibition opportunity during the annual exhibition, “Caught My Eye,” in November.
Artists can submit one piece of their original work. Two-dimensional work may measure up to 48” on any side and must be wired, ready to hang, and available for sale. No saw-tooth hangers will be accepted. There is no fee to submit, but artists do need to be SRAC members. To become a member, visit www.SpringfieldArts.org or call 417-862-2787.
Work must be delivered to The Creamery Arts Center on Thursday, May 24 and Friday, May 25 between 9am and 5pm. The exhibit will open with a public reception on First Friday Art Walk, June 1st from 5-8pm and will remain on display at The Creamery Arts Center through Monday, June 25.
