The craft and music festival will be held on the grounds in front of Carrington Hall on Saturday, September 6th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, September 7th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This year’s festival hosts more than 60 artists and craftsmen who will both demonstrate and sell their wares. Also, new to this year’s festival is an incredible Kids Area that will include games and entertainment specifically geared toward children.

Some highlights for Saturday include the Annual Young Fiddlers Concert that begins at 1 p.m. in Ellis Recital Hall and features fiddlers ranging in age from 8-20 years old. Saturday night we will hold our first “Saturday Night Dance & Chili Supper” featuring the Buddy Edwards Killin’ Time Band with Junior Marriott on fiddle. A $5 admission charge at the door includes both the Chili Supper and Dance.

We have the best lineup that we have ever had at the Max Hunter Stage including Big Smith performing at 1 p.m. the Bilyeu Family performing at 2 p.m. and HogMolly performing at 3 p.m. The craft & music part of the festival goes out with a BANG!!! With the Annual Concert Under the Stars & Ice-Cream Social featuring the Dan Tyminski Band and Springfield’s own Big Smith! Bring your blankets and lawn chairs for this outdoor concert event to be held at the John H. Keiser Amphitheater (behind Strong Hall); Big Smith will play from 6-7:45 p.m. and Dan Tyminski will play from 8-10 p.m. In case of rain, it will be held in McDonald Arena.
