ANNIE performances at the VCT Nov. 21-Dec. 13, 2008

FUDDY MEERS by David Lindsay-Abaire, directed by Alex Murphy

Claire wakes up everyday in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people with absolutely no idea of who she is. Stricken with psychogenic amnesia, she is reminded everyday of how the kitchen appliances work, that her name is Claire, that she is married, and that she has a son. Her mind is filled with unanswered questions…the main one being how she lost her memory in the first place. Join Claire as she rediscovers her past amidst zany characters ranging from a limping, lisping man with a scar and an aversion to bacon, to a man who carries on constant conversations with Binky, his loyal friend and puppet.

Roles:
Claire: about 40—a generally sunny woman with amnesia
Richard: about 40—a chatty, friendly, sometimes nervous, man
Kenny: 17—a troubled teen
Limping Man: about 40—a lisping, limping, half-blind, half-deaf man with secrets
Gertie: 60s—a clear-headed lady who’s had a stroke and can’t speak properly,
Millet: 30s or 40s—an odd man with a puppet
Heidi: 30s or 40s—a tough woman in uniform

AUDITION DATES: Monday September 22
TIME: 6:30-9:30pm
PLACE: Vandivort 2nd Stage, 440 South Campbell Avenue (located between W. Elm and W. Pershing Streets)

AUDITIONS: Come prepared with a 1-2 minute contemporary comedic monologue
