ARTS COUNCIL ARTS ADVENTURES - Two Revised Itineraries

The Sept. 27th Arts Adventure will take us to Kansas City to the 38,000 sq. ft Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art (designed by world-renowned architect Kyu Sung Woo) which features nine gallery exhibition spaces displaying a variety of works by contemporary artists as well as some from the Marti and Tony Oppenheimer and Oppenheimer Brothers Foundation Collections. We'll also view the Oppenheimer-Stein Sculpture Collection. Dutch-treat lunch will be taken at the Webster House. Also included on this Adventure will be a tour of the Thomas Hart Benton Home and Studio Historic Site.

The Oct. 25th Adventure will take us to Tulsa and the fabulous Gilcrease Museum where we'll tour the permanent collections of American Western art as well as the exquisite traveling exhibit, Ansel Adams: A Legacy. Dutch-treat lunch will be at the Gilcrease's Osage Restaurant.

For both Adventures, cost is $60/person and includes coffee and Danish in the Arts Council Office at 6:30AM on Sept. 27 and at 7:30AM on Oct. 25, leaving for KC at 7AM, returning 7PM from KC and departing for Tulsa 8AM, returning 9PM. Champagne, chocolates and entrance fees are included. Call the Arts Council to reserve, either by advance check or by Visa or Mastercard. These trips are a lot of fun!
