Meaning in Materiality: Exploring Found Objects in Art
Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library Community Room
Saturday, November 16, 2024, 2:00 PM

Artist Shauna LeAnn Smith delves into artworks that incorporate found objects and depict everyday items. These assemblages carry a profound truth: what an artwork is made of becomes an integral part of its meaning. Participants will be encouraged to explore their own personal narratives - the heirlooms, fragments, and relics that form your life’s tapestry. Featured artists include Nick Cave, Glyneisha Johnson, Blake Tiggemann, and more.
