Based on true events, this original play imagines the former First Lady, Mary Geneva "Mamie" Eisenhower, visiting her birthplace of Boone Iowa, to stump for her husband Dwight Eisenhower's 1956 re-election. Starring actress and playwright, Diana Star Helmer, this play uses documented quotes and events from the Eisenhower’s life together, which included two World Wars, family tragedy, alleged scandal, and Ike’s first term in office.
This Missouri premiere is presented in conjunction with the Missouri Cherry Blossom Festival in Marshfield, MO on April 27th at 7:30pm at Marshfield Church of the Nazarene (226 Church Street, Marshfield, MO 65706). Tickets: $20, Children 12 and under $10.
