Juneteenth "We Are One" Celebration at the Museum
YOUR Art Museum is proud to be a part of the City of Springfield's Juneteenth Celebration Weekend. This event is hosted by the NAACP of Springfield in Partnership with the Community Partnership of the Ozarks.
12:00 PM - 5:00 PM: See works by prominent Black artists David Driskell, Nick Cave, Robert Pruitt, Alison Saar, and Richard Hunt on view in our "Creating an American Identity" exhibition.
Pick up a FREE Take-Home Project Bag with a mixed media collage portrait project inspired by artist and art historian David Driskell, the "father" of African American Art History.
5:00 PM - 5:45 PM: Timmons Hall will present the Live Actors-Living History Tour focused on the Harlem Renaissance through the Museum galleries.
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM: The Milly Project performance and talk-back in the Museum's Auditorium.
These events are free and open to the public. No registration is required.
