S is for Spring, S is for Silly, and S is for Sullivan- as in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Ruddigore. Join Missouri State Opera Theatre in a hilarious melodrama that includes curses, ghosts, and disguises. Robin Oakapple is a simple farmer in love with sweet Rose Maybud, but in reality, he is a baron who was cursed by a witch to commit a crime every day. He changed his name to avoid the curse, forcing Sir Despard to commit daily crimes thus upsetting his ancestors. Music Director, Dr. Chris Thompson joins our special guest director and Gilbert & Sullivan expert, Dawn Harris, to bring you this classic operetta. Come join us in C Minor Hall - we have two performances and can't wait to see you at the opera!!
