Fall is afoot—and so are big changes for the fifth annual Farmers Park Art Show. This year’s event will coincide with Farmers Market of the Ozarks on Saturday and feature a pop-up tasting tour on both days that will appeal to art lovers who like to dine and drink while they shop.
This family-friendly event on Oct. 19 and 20 will showcase original artwork from 25 award-winning artists—many from the Ozarks—handpicked for this event based on their creativity, professionalism and high-end work. All artwork will be available for purchase, and mediums will include painting, photography, sculpture, art jewelry, wood turning, ceramic art, mixed media, illustration, glass sculpture, art furniture and printmaking.
“We have amazing artists again this year, and we’re so excited to have them for two whole days,” said show organizer Denise Temofeew. “Everyone will see something inspiring and beautiful. Our event has grown in popularity, and we can’t believe this is our fifth art show at Farmers Park. We think it’s going to be the best one yet!”
This year’s lineup includes Tony Cray, a glass artist from New Melle, Mo., St. Louis sculptor Lisa Hilton and Tulsa, Okla., painter Maurie Traylor, all of whom are available for phone interviews prior to the event. Lisa’s process is particularly unique in that she recycles junk mail to create a paste that resembles stone for her sculptures.
In addition to acclaimed artists showcasing their unique wares, the art show will feature a pop-up tasting tour Saturday afternoon starting at 2 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Here’s a closer look at the local food vendors and beverage purveyors attending:
