Caught My Eye is an annual show featuring a select group of artists who were juried in based on their work from the Springfield Regional Arts Council's Member Show in June.
Linda Passeri is best known for her work with the Moon City Arts district and her Steampunk-inspired imagery. During the Member Show, she presented hand-carved tiles, reminiscent of the Art Deco period, with a green glaze and intricate design.
Her work in "Caught My Eye" tells an exploratory story about her creative process. "Clay provides a never-ending opportunity for exploration," Linda says. "While I am mainly a sculptor, piercing and carving clay is a challenge that I never tire of. These tiles and vessels are another way to express the versatility of the medium."
