Caught My Eye is an annual show featuring a select group of artists who were juried in based on their work from the Springfield Regional Arts Council's Member Show in June.
Luke Blevins' work combines imagery and storytelling with rich texture and symbolic meaning.
"This series was started around an idea of how society viewed me," Luke says. As an artist who identifies as part of the LGBTQ community, he used his work to explore the concept of stereotyping, group thought, and identity. "I explore issues and topics close to home, such as homosexuality, gender conformity, masculinity, societal expectations, and familial norms."
To see the full series of Luke's work, visit The Creamery Arts Center through November 28th, where his work is on display.
