Arts in the Park has helped me be more focused and detail-oriented in school. --Shannel, high-school freshman, and Arts in the Park student since elementary school
Multiple studies have shown that curricular and extra-curricular art-studies and activities help keep high-risk dropout students in school*. That, among countless other reasons, is why your help is crucial to the Springfield Regional Arts Council.
The Springfield Regional Arts Council is steadfast in its mission to transform lives and enrich the community through the arts. Since 2002, the SRAC’s Arts in the Park Summer Workshop Program has provided arts education for area at-risk students. Other programs, like Any Given Child, Mini Monet, and Free Art Days provide further arts engagement opportunities. All of these programs are funded through grants and donations, and putting together quality programming would be a difficult challenge without it.
During #GivingTuesday, your donation can make a difference. Any amount is appreciated!
Your gift ensures that every child who participates in the SRAC’s free arts education programs has access to quality instructors, that local artists and arts entrepreneurs receive quality professional development training, and that community festivals like Artsfest continue for years to come.

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this year’s #GivingTuesday will take place on November 27th and will kick off the giving season by inspiring people to collaborate and give back.
