Job Title: Marketing Intern
Supervision: This position is supervised by the Marketing Manager, but for reporting purposes, will report to the Executive Director. At the discretion of Manager or Director, another staff member may carry out day-to-day supervision for certain assigned projects.
Hours: Part-time. Hours will be based on program needs, class schedule, and work schedule.
Basic Functions: Assist the Marketing Manager in planning, administering, and executing the responsibilities of their position.
Specific Duties: The duties of the Marketing Intern for the Springfield Symphony shall include but not necessarily be limited to the following:
- Assist with planning and implementing all aspects of season subscription renewals. Help to produce campaign materials, single tickets sales materials, public relations events and marketing campaigns, including subscription brochure, press releases, and program book.
- Work with the Marketing Manager to plan, implement, design, and curate content for newsletters; social media platforms; marketing, promotional and sponsorship materials; and website(s).
- Assist in researching, identifying, cultivating, and soliciting corporate prospects and grants for the Springfield Symphony. Help plan and implement solicitation of annual concert program advertising.

Requirements: Open to all majors and backgrounds with an emphasis on Arts Administration, Communications, Design, Music, and Marketing. The Springfield Symphony looks for applicants who enjoy taking initiative, foster creativity, exude professionalism, and work well in fast-paced environments. Skills can be learned on the job, however, preference will be given those to individuals with existing office skills, computer skills and strong Internet capabilities. The internship position may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
