Call for Artists: The BIG Show at Sky Gallery

The Big Show Sky Gallery

With over a million passengers each year, it has been a BIG year for the The Springfield-Branson National Airport  and we want to see how BIG your imagination can be at this exciting annual exhibit. The Springfield Regional Arts Council (SRAC) and Sky Gallery at the Springfield-Branson National Airport are now accepting submissions for THE BIG SHOW, opening May 15th, 2020 and running until August 14th. The title of The BIG Show says it all- we want your large-scale pieces!

Submission Process:

Submit up to 5 digital images (JPGs) of actual works you hope to have selected for exhibition. Name each JPG with your first initial, last name and piece title (example: JSmithTitle.jpg). Send all submissions to by midnight, April 10th, 2019.

Artwork Restrictions:

Because of the nature of the exhibition space in which the show will take place, submissions must meet the following restrictions:

Artwork (including dimension of frame) must be at least 36” on one side.

Hanging the art requires that the piece be wired with D-Rings, at least 10” from the top.

Works must be two-dimensional (no three-dimensional work)

Artists will be selected by an anonymous jurying process. All submissions will be notified of acceptance or rejection by Friday, May 1, 2020. The show will be hung Friday, May 15th at 9:30 am. All participating artists are expected to drop off their work at this time and assist in the hanging process if available.
