Brooke Wyeth returns home to Palm Springs after a six-year absence to celebrate Christmas with her parents who were highly regarded in old Hollywood circles and admired by Republicans for their service to and friendship with Ronald and Nancy Reagan in their heyday; her brother, a reality television producer and her aunt, a recovering alcoholic and former TV writer. Brooke announces that she is about to publish a memoir dredging up a pivotal and scandalous event in the family's history—a wound they don't want reopened. In doing so, Brooke sets off a holiday weekend of secrets, politics, family jealousies and barbs that intersect at the crossroads between loyalty and truth in this award-winning play.
