Our Advocacy Efforts
Arts advocacy is a cornerstone of our organization. Each of our staff, board members and volunteers believes in the power of the arts and culture to communicate and express our viewpoints, transform our community and create a legacy to pass on to future generations.

Missouri Arts Advocacy Week
Each year, we celebrate Missouri Arts Advocacy Week in partnership with Missouri Citizens for the Arts and arts advocates across the state. While we connect with our elected officials all year long, arts advocacy is especially important during the Missouri Legislature’s budget season. Don’t know who to contact? Arts & Culture Grants
The SRAC understands that grant funding is critical to bringing the arts to the Springfield area. These grants enable nonprofit arts and cultural organizations to pursue art initiatives and offer arts-related activities that can enrich our community.

Committees
SRAC’s committees are essential to our art advocacy efforts. Each committee is composed of dedicated members who help us execute our initiatives and explore new ways to better connect our community with the arts. See how committees are part of our regular operations.





The Creamery Arts Center
The Creamery Arts Center hosts several Springfield arts and culture organizations, including SRAC. The iconic venue also houses monthly art exhibitions, events, art classes and more. We also have community space available to rent for your own meetings and events. As a central location for all things art, The Creamery has become the place for creatives to gather.
