While I have done some drawing and painting, my main interest is in Photography as Fine Art. I am drawn to floral and botanical subjects which I photograph both outdoors and in studio. I also enjoy photographing the great outdoors in the Ozarks. My favorite subjects are usually found within an easy drive, or a short walk in the local wooded hills.
Robert’s images have received multiple awards in local competitions and gallery shows.
This is my personal philosophy of who I am as a photographer.
"I believe in creating work that will be looked at as moments in time.My goal is to invoke a wide range of emotions from you the viewer. My work is a reflection of how I see the world around me as I live in it. My thoughts, feelings and desires are in my photos. My work to me is something I never would like to profit off of. Because taking photographs has never been about money.First and foremost it is always about the art and the constant change in the medium and the world itself."
My art is urban exploration, conceptual art and avant-garde photography. My work is the transformation of objects and spaces using physical and digital manipulation. I explore abandoned buildings to find objects that have been left behind in the pursuit of progress and I wrap them in linen to give them a new skin. I am repurposing spaces as a sort of installation, photographing in such a way as to create a work of art. The objective is to transform these objects and their surrounding spaces into something beyond what they were when I found them.
