Dear Springfield Symphony Patron,  

Over the course of the last 10 days, we have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) both locally and nationally. The information received is constantly evolving and it’s changing minute by minute. As you well know, we are in unchartered territory not only locally, but globally.  

The Springfield Art Museum has cancelled all public programs and events until May 11 to assist in efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19. At this time, The Museum will remain open to walk-in traffic during normal hours of operation; however, the Family Art Lab will remain closed during this period.

PAGLIACCI IS POSTONED

As our community deals with the emerging COVID-19 pandemic, Springfield Regional Opera will join arts organizations around the world in postponing upcoming events to help slow the spread of the virus.  Consequently, our planned April 3rd and 4th performances of Pagliacci at the Gillioz Theatre will be postponed until our public health situ

From the Springfield Contemporary Theatre:

After continued monitoring of national Centers for Disease Control and local health department guidance, the Downtown Springfield Association and the Film and Media Association of Springfield today announced that the Rated SGF Film Festival has been postponed.  Organizers will work with the film industry special guests, Fox Theatre and other stakeholders to identify a new date. This action is taken in the interests of public health concerns regarding COVID-19. The health and safety of guests, volunteers and staff are always a top priority.
