It’s that time of year again! The First Friday Art Walk’s Annual Art Contest is now open and ready for submissions. Last years competition was a wonderful showing of our local and regional talent and we are thrilled to continue the tradition of showing fine art in our community through this contest.

The Mid-Career Invitational is an annual exhibit that celebrates local and regional artists who are on a professional artistic path. Working as graphic artists, muralists, writers and designers, this year's group includes Gary Bedell, Cole Closser, Doug Erb, Megan Frauenhoffer, and Christine Ruitzel.

Help raise money for arts education in the region through the SRAC's annual art auction. Bidding happens online and at The Creamery Arts Center through Friday, February 7th at 7 pm. From 7 pm to 8 pm, there is an extended hour of bidding, IN PERSON ONLY at The Creamery Arts Center! Swing by for refreshments, music, great art and more.

After 11 years of leadership, Clarissa French leaves First Friday Artwalk (FFAW) to focus on professional endeavors, as well as to enjoy the arts as a patron. Avery Parrish, Corporate Art Coordinator with the Springfield Regional Arts Council (SRAC), has been named the new FFAW Coordinator.

Adults are invited to attend First Friday Art Walk at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 3, at the Park Central Branch Library, 128 Park Central Square.
Join us for First Friday Art Walk and the opening of a new exhibit. Learn simple weaving techniques and participate in a community weaving project with Library staff member Whitney Gillenwaters. Materials will be provided. On Display: Wyrd Sisters: Fiber Art by Whitney Gillenwaters.
