For 40 years, the Springfield Regional Arts Council, along with the Downtown Springfield Association, has celebrated the arts and the coming of spring with Artsfest on Historic Walnut Street at the beginning of May. However, in light of the continued bans, due to public health and safety concerns, on large gatherings in our community through mid-May, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone Artsfest 2020.
Artsfest makes art essential to the lives of those living in the Southwest Missouri by showcasing talented artists and their creativity in a community-centric festival. Forty years strong, this outdoor event hosts over 120 artists on the beautiful Historic Walnut Street in Springfield, Missouri.
After careful consideration of the ongoing impact of COVID-19, the Springfield Regional Arts Council and Downtown Springfield Association have made the very difficult decision to cancel their combined Artsfest and Cider Days event on Historic Walnut Street, originally scheduled for Sept. 19-20, 2020.
