Sunday Concert Series: The Shandies

Adults are invited to attend Sunday Sounds: The Shandies at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, in the Library Station Frisco Room, 2535 N. Kansas Expressway.

This female duo has a blend of unique musical backgrounds that makes for a distinctive and entertaining listening experience. They’ll play an eclectic mix of folk, pop, country and rock with an Ozarks twist! This program is sponsored by Friends of the Library.

Spooky Symphony

The Springfield Symphony invites children of all ages and their families to join us for the 10th Annual Spooky Symphony, a free Halloween concert, on Monday, October 29 at 6:00 p.m. at the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts.

The orchestra, all dressed in their Halloween costumes, will be led by Maestro Kyle Wiley Pickett, and will feature performances of Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, How to Train Your Dragon, and many more.

Each concert will be held at a different community center in Springfield, and feature live music and thought-provoking conversations.
