I was born in St. Louis and raised in rural Missouri, I have lived in the Springfield area since 1995.
My interest in photography as art began many years ago with a film camera and home darkroom. I continue to be amazed at the increased creativity possible with the modern digital camera and post processing software. I have studied art mostly on my own and in my later adult life with local artists as well as classes at the Springfield Art Museum.
While I have done some drawing and painting, my main interest is in Photography as Fine Art. I am drawn to floral and botanical subjects which I photograph both outdoors and in studio. I also enjoy photographing the great outdoors in the Ozarks. My favorite subjects are usually found within an easy drive, or a short walk in the local wooded hills.
Robert’s images have received multiple awards in local competitions and gallery shows.
