I am a Springfield native, lived in Eureka Springs, AR since 1999, and moved back to Missouri last May. We now live in Republic, MO.
While in Eureka Springs, I placed photography in the Eureka Thyme Gallery, won a number of awards in the Photographic Society of Northwest Arkansas in Fayetteville, placed several prints in the Artists of Northwest Arkansas Regional Art Exhibition in Springdale, and the Ozark Photographic Challenge.
Since returning to Springfield, prints have placed in the juried art shows at Waverly House Gallery, Fresh Gallery,
A personal exhibit of thirteen Black & White images was at the Republic Branch Library.
I've been a member of the Southwest Missouri Camera Club in Springfield since "approximately" 1970.
Rosalie Toler and I jointly published a poetry and photographic book titled Sheer Poetry.
Why B&W, well, why not? We do live in a world of color; black and white reduces the image to the basics of the image structure, without the distraction of color.
