Kim has loved art, in all its forms, her whole life. Her own art journey began in drawing, then ceramics and followed with stained glass. A class in stained glass provided her introduction to glass fusing, and since 2012, it has been her medium of choice.
She is inspired by the way the light interacts with the glass, giving it a depth and interest that can’t be duplicated. She enjoys the challenge of working with the technical aspects and limitations of glass, while still achieving her artistic vision. Kim’s recent works reveal the influences of her exploration into other media, such as watercolor, ink, and collage, which facilitate the evolution of her artistic nature.
Kim is a member of the Fresh Gallery of Springfield, MO, Springfield Regional Arts Council, Visual Arts Alliance of Springfield, and Best of Missouri Hands.
