As far back as I can remember, art has been a central part of my life whether visual or performance. Most of my early works were primarily charcoal, which I still have a fond love of. My early influence, which was the catalyst for painting, was Impressionism, which still influences my style today.
Unlike my early work, I intentionally vary my style, medium and subject matter. I find forcing myself to not to stay in one genre incredibly challenging but yet overwhelmingly inspiring. These rapid changes has started to blur the lines allowing new techniques and perspective shift to happen. I create in a wide variety of styles plein air impressionism, abstract landscape, expressionsim, and realism.
You can view and purchase my work primarily through social media currently and upcoming website. Commissions are welcome!!
My definition of landscape just doesn't include the natural world we see, but the unseen landscape of emotional reaction to the world we move through. I am exploring the line between the physical landscape and the landscape we internalize; our emotional response to the moment. Capturing the emotional aspect of experiencing the natural world around us.
