Along with being an art educator for 13 years, I have been a working artist here in Springfield.
I have completed many commissions in my years, along with murals and storefront window designs. I also teach group painting classes with my locally owned business “Easel-y Amused.” I enjoy teaching kids and adults how to see beyond their perceived limitations.
I am honored to be included in this amazing pool of artists.
~Thank you for viewing my work!
When I was a little girl, my favorite thing was a fresh box of crayons and a stack of white paper. As an adult, I find my excitement for creating to be a (bit) more refined than crayons, but still playful and free.
My greatest passion lies in painting, working primarily with acrylic on canvas. With the addition of fun textures when the time is right.
Much like myself, my paintings frequently change course. (Like my thought patterns at night when I should be sleeping)
But one thing that stays consistent is my urge to express my feelings or experiences—while allowing the viewer to interact with the piece and form their own interpretation.
Nothing makes my heart sing like selling something to someone who feels a connection to it somehow. That may be my greatest driving force.
