There is beauty found in chaos and that is necessary to create order. I begin my process with wild uproar and unrestrained disorder as I work through my own oftentimes fearful reactions to the climate of current events,
Creating beauty from chaos has given me a way to cope with things as they are, I find the process to be a healing balm for fostering harmony and well being in an oftentimes turbulent world.
I believe that beauty is an indication of divine order in the universe as shown in the cycles of time and seasons, in the microcosms of the natural world and the macrocosms of the vast galaxies all things are constantly consistently evolving.
Fleeting and dreamlike is the nature of all things that come into existence and then fade away like youth and what modern culture perceives beauty to be.
My abstracted and often figurative integrations are created with a process of mixing various mediums such as oil + cold wax, oil sticks, pan pastels, ink, collage and encaustic medium to name a few through laying on and excavating various layers to achieve a multi-dimensional visual experience.
My creative process has led me on a journey into the dreamy and mysterious where I have discovered that through the contemplation of emotions I am able to find a healing balm for fostering harmony and well being in an oftentimes chaotic world. A sense of humor is also very essential to keeping a good healthy balance in my life. My intention is that my art will spark something that brings joyful feelings of well being to my collectors.
